MEET TIM
Tim Raine is a successful businessman, public servant, and former conservative school board trustee running to preserve the city we love while preparing for an exciting future.
Tim was born and raised in a small town in Missouri. After attending local public schools, he enrolled at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration – Economics in 1981.
After graduating, Tim moved to north Texas where he began an extremely successfully business career in high tech, FDIC, and banking where he held multipled executive positions. After nearly 15 years in the corporate word, Tim opened his own successful insurance agency where he specialized in multiple property and casualty lines (home, auto, and commercial) as well as life and health policies.
Throughout his professional life, Tim always found time for his community. Tim was a member of the Grapevine Rotary Club and earned recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow for his contributions to The Rotary Foundation. Tim also coached his children's youth sports teams before joining the D-BAT organization, where he coached select high school students.
Tim has served in numerous local appointed and elected positions, including time on the City Water Committee, Planning and Zoning Committee, and the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD school board where he served one year as president.
Tim met and married his late wife Kim in 2004, and the two enjoyed many wonderful years together before her passing in 2023. The two were active members of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas. Tim now attends Gateway Church in Southlake.
